The bike carrier is constructed of 2" diameter steel tubing and has a durable black powder coat. The locking plate of the hitch ball bike rack features soft rubber pads to prevent from bike frame scratching and has a tightening knob with a locking hole to keep you bicycles secure. The locking plate is 9" long and the bike carrier is 33 1/2" tall. To attach the carrier to your existing hitch just unscrew your hitch ball, place the bike carrier underneath the hitch over the hitch ball threaded shank and reattach the hitch ball nut.
